Staff Reporter: Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council has been formed in the United States. A group of young expatriates from New York took the initiative to organize the organization under the slogan ‘Let’s be one, where are the rights’. Last Saturday, Partial Branch Committee of the United States announced Mohammad Ali Hossain Majumder as president and Abdus Sattar Palash as general secretary. In a virtual meeting on the same day, the Central President and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council approved the committee.
A virtual meeting was held under the chairmanship of Azad Ahmed Patwari, Central Vice President of Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council. The meeting approved the committee for the next one year with a commitment to work for the expatriates.
The virtual meeting was attended by former Daksu VP Ganobandhu Nurul Haque Nur, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council, Central President and Secretary Kabir Hossain and Biplob Kumar Poddar respectively. Central Vice President Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, Co-Organizing Secretary Neyamat Ullah, Human Trafficking Prevention and Rehabilitation Secretary Kudrat A Hasan, Mass Communication Secretary Fahim Ahmed Saurav, Co-Finance Secretary Shakiluzzam, Co-Labor and Immigration took part in the virtual meeting.Secretary Rajib Ahmed, Also the leaders of different states of the United States branch of the Bangladesh Expatriate Rights Council.
The other members of the committee are vice-presidents Mohammad Mamun, Sikder Manzilur Rahman and Ziaul Hashem, joint general secretaries Mahfuzur Rahman Tuhin, Mohammad Abul Kashem and Hafizur Rahman Munna.
