Staff Reporter: USA Bangabandhu Parishad’s has organized Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day celebrations. The virtual event will start at 12 noon (New York time) and 11 pm (Bangladesh time) on Sunday, February 21 and will last for a few hours on this occasion.
USA Bangabandhu Parishad President Dr Rabbi Alam presided and performed by Md. Mainuddin over the function.Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will join as the chief guest. Michigan State Senator Paul Ozno, Jimmy Carter Foundation President Jason Carter and one of the members of Bangabandhu Parishad Dr Mamun Sheikh will be the special guests on this occasion.
Writers, poets, artists and culture lovers of the United States will present the significance of Bangladesh’s Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day to the friends of foreigners in various ways, said Mohammad Shahin, Publicity Secretary of the USA Bangabandhu Parishad.
The program will analyze the impact of Bengali language and culture on the background of Amar Ekushey and the significance of International Mother Language Day. Local poets, writers and cultural activists will take part in the discussion.
