Bangladesh Participated in IT Fair of Japan

Bangladesh has joined the largest IT Fair of Japan named “IT Week-2018” at the Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. The fair was opened this morning (9-5-18) and will continue to 11 May 2018.

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo, ICT Division of Bangladesh Government, Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority, Bangladesh Computer Council and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) are coordinating and assisting the delegates and businessmen participating in the fair. IT Week Japan is an excellent platform for Asia’s IT professionals and entrepreneurs to exchange views, ideas and experiences among themselves. Bangladesh is regularly joining this fair since 2015.

Minister for Postal, Telecommunication and Information-Technology Ministry, Mr. Mustafa Jabbar lead the delegation participated in the Japan IT Week 2018. Sixteen (16) IT organizations from Bangladesh are presenting their products and services to the diversified customers from different countries at the fair. Besides Booth-based discussion and power-point presentation are special features of this year fair.

Immediately after the opening of the fair, Rabab Fatima, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan visited the stalls and booths of the Bangladesh Pavilions. She talked to the entrepreneurs and IT Professionals came from Bangladesh. She also thanked them for joining the fair and assured them for the continuous support from the Embassy.

Many visitors were seen discussing at the booths or enjoying the presentation at the pavilion of Bangladesh. ICT is playing a pivotal role in becoming Digital Bangladesh, nonetheless, this IT fair – the third biggest in the world can be a good opportunity for Bangladesh to exhibit their ability, prospects and efficiency in IT sector. The Businesspersons joining the fair said that the IT market of Japan for Bangladesh is expanding day by day and they believed that this fair could open some new horizons for them.

This fair may be effective in strengthening the Japan-Bangladesh IT relationship in addition to expanding market, open new markets, the increase of investment and motivating Non-Residents Bangladeshi to invest in the IT sector of Bangladesh.
