Staff Reporter: The new executive committee of Greater Noakhali Samity has been formed in the United States Connecticut State. In a virtual meeting held on Sunday, two-year-old (2021-23) of the new committee, Mir Azam President and Ariful Islam Nipun named General Secretary. In December 2018, the first decided to form a Greater Noakhali Samity in the state of Connecticut . The committee was conducted by the convenor committee last two years.
Other members of the association are Vice-President Nowshad Mobarak and Yusuf Mahir, organizational and cultural secretary Ayesha Dewan Lipi, Treasurer Mohammad Hasan, Public Relations Secretary Raihan Azad Rony, Sports Secretary Jahidul Haque (Hasan), Social Welfare Secretary Pavel Karim and Executive Members are Mohammad Al Billah Nipu and Mohsin Ali.
The newly elected president and general secretary said that the decision was made to form a social organization for two years before the new generation increased in the new generation of cultural activities including domestic culture. According to that, a convening committee was formed by almost 4 months tireless labor.
They also said that there are several organizations including social and cultural organizations in Connecticut.The newly formed Greater Noakhali Samity will not compete with any other organization. They mentioned that the decision taken by the association members will conduct social and cultural activities.
It is to be noted that the convening committee of Greater Noakhali Samity was formed through mass contents of the first in 2018 in Connecticut. On 16 March 2019, Residents of Noakhali organized a ceremony named Milon Mela, and from that day the leaders of the association started in the convening committee started. The first annual Picnic was held in the supervision of the association on July 21 in the same year.
In the last 2020, noakhali Samity officials took part in Connecticut and Bangladesh mask, sanitizer and blanket distribution program.
Apart from taking various programs, it is known that it has been canceled due to Covid-19.
