Staff Reporter: A Bangladeshi youth has been shot dead by miscreants in front of a strip club in the United States. Moazzem Hossain Saju (28) was shot dead by a group of miscreants in the parking lot of the Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club (Strip Club) in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after snatching his phone and wallet from Saju. The incident took place last Tuesday (August 3) at around 9.30 pm.
Two Bangladeshis, Shahriar and Moazzem Hossain, were walking towards their parked car in the parking lot of the Cheerleaders Gentleman’s Club in South Philadelphia around 9.30pm on the night of the incident. At that time, two blacks stopped them and snatched their phones and wallets. At that time Shahriar gave everything in his pocket but Moazzem did not want to give. With this he got into fights with the miscreants. At one point the miscreants shot him in the chest and quickly fled. When the injured Moazzem was taken to the emergency department of the local Jefferson University Hospital Medical Center, the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Moazzem of Baradesh village in Muria union of Beanibazar upazila of Sylhet district. His father’s name is Shams Uddin. Newlywed Moazzem lived in North East Philadelphia.
Moazzem is the youngest of two brothers and one sister. Although his wife is in Bangladesh, his family members are living in the United States. After living in Michigan with their parents for a long time, they recently moved to Pennsylvania. Police have not yet made any arrests. South Philadelphia police are working hard to catch the culprit.
