Staff Reporter: New England Awami League has given a reception to newly elected president of FBCCI Jasim Uddin who is visiting the United States. The reception was held at the Darul Kabab Restaurant in Cambridge, near Boston, on Friday (October 1), local time.
The meeting was chaired by former president of New England Awami League Osman Gani and conducted by former general secretary Suhas Barua.
President Osman Gani, General Secretary Suhas Barua and President of Mahila Awami League Nasim Parveen and General Secretary Misha Rahman congratulated the newly elected President of FBCCI Jasim Uddin with a wreath.
The speakers discussed in detail the current economic situation of the country, the main sources of income for economic development in the country, investment of expatriates in different sectors in the country, import-export and other issues.
FBCCI President Jasim Uddin encouraged the expatriates to invest in the country and assured the interested parties of full cooperation from the FBCCI.
In his speech, Osman Gani, former president of New England Awami League, lauded the FBCCI for playing an important role in tackling the country’s disasters, various economic and developmental activities of the government and thanked the newly elected committee, members and officials of the FBCCI.
