Staff Reporter: Expatriate Bangladeshis have celebrated ‘Valentine’s day’ in New York with great enthusiasm in the hope of spreading love among all the people of the world. Popular expatriate artists perform on the occasion of Valentine’s day, to be held at the Queen’s Palace in New York on Sunday evening (February 13), local time. The event was jointly organized by PG Production House and Mega Star.
At the beginning of the program Partha Gupta music director and head of PG Production House, and Shahabuddin Chowdhury Liton head of Mega Star wished Valentine’s Day.
Shukla Dutta, Chairman of PG Care Pro, Gias Ahmed, Community Activist, Mahbubur Rahman Tuku, Fahad Solaiman, Attorney Moin Chowdhury, Abdul Quader Mian, Shahabuddin Chowdhury Liton, Ashraf Ali Khan Liton, Bir Muktijoddhya Abul Bashar Bhuiyan, Nasrin Ahmed, Jebun Nahar, Bedarul Islam Babla, Sultan Ahmed, Nurul Azim, Muktadir Billah, Shah Shahidul Haque Sayed, Abdul Quader Chowdhury Shahin, Nazim Uddin, Arshad Waresh, Haji Zafar Ullah, ATM Masud, Nazim Uddin, Shafi Alam and Kauser Ahmed exchanged greetings on the occasion. The guests were given a red rose as a symbol of Valentine’s Day by the organizers.
According to the organizers, for the first time, the expatriate artists performed the song ‘Premer Abegprabhan’ in front of the overflowing audience. Chandan Chowdhury, Shah Mahbub, Rajib Bhattacharjee, Shamim Siddiqee, Trinia Hasan, Udipta Chowdhury, Santara Rega, Koushaly Ema, Dr. Ehtesham Talukdar Mukut, Chandra Roy, Rittika Banerjee and Monica Das performed on the occasion. The dance was performed by the artists of Anup Das Dance Academy.
The instrumentalists were accompanied by Partha Gupta and Saiful Mithu on keyboards, Johan on lead guitar, Mahfuz Rahman on bass guitar, Richard on octopad and Rakesh Banerjee on percussion.
Partha Gupta and Shahabuddin Chowdhury Liton, Ashraf Ali Khan Liton, Arshad Warish and Jebun Nahar co-hosted the Valentine’s day celebrations. The occasion presented by popular presenters of New York Sadia Khandaker and Utpal Chowdhury.
