America-Bangladesh Press Club’s inauguration today

Staff Reporter: The newly selected officials of new committee of the America-Bangladesh Press Club (ABPC) in the United States are inaugurated today. Members of the new 11-member committee will be sworn in at the inaugural ceremony on Sunday (February 27) at 7pm local time at Gulshan Terrace in Woodside, New York. Foreign Minister of the Government of Bangladesh Dr. AK Abdul Momen will be present as a chief guest.

The new committee was formed at the emergency general meeting held at the zoom meeting on January 6. An 11-member committee was announced at the meeting. Rashed Ahmed a US correspondent for Channel I, as president and Mohammad Abul Kashem, a senior staff reporter for the North America edition of Bangladesh Pratidin as general secretary are selected.
Other selected members of the committee are: Vice-Presidents Journalist Tapan Chowdhury and Subrata Chowdhury, Finance Secretary-Zaman Tapan (Writer-Journalist), Joint General Secretary-Shah Farukur Rahman (BDYork), Organizing Secretary-Azimuddin Avi (Jamuna TV), Publicity Secretary Writer -Journalist Shahidullah Kaiser, Executive Member Bir Muktijoddha Lablu Ansar (Bangladesh Pratidin), Kanu Dutta (ATN Bangla) and Writer-Journalist Rajub Bhowmik.
