US expat Bangladeshi doctor nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Noman Sabit: Dr. Ryan Saadi, a former student of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni confirmed this on her verified Facebook page on Saturday afternoon.
In a Facebook status, Dr. Dipu Moni wrote, “Our Dhaka Medical College K-40 batch friend Ryan Saadi, MD, MPH, Chairman and CEO Tevogen Bio, has been nominated for this year’s Nobel Prize. We are proud. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Saadi. Best wishes to Saadi and his family.”
It is learned that Dr. Ryan Saadi is currently working as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a company called Tevogen Bio.
Born on December 6, 1964, at Sahapur in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna, Dr. Ryan Saadi’s father’s name is Taib Hossain and his mother’s name is Asma Begum. He is the eldest son in the family. His wife’s name is Dr. Judy Akhter. This Bangladeshi doctor is currently staying in the United States.
The website ‘NobelPrize.org’ has named 343 individuals and organizations in this year’s Nobel Peace Prize nomination list. Among them are 251 individuals and 92 institutions. The website of Ryan Sadi’s organization ‘Tevojon Bior’ has confirmed that the Nobel committee has given this nomination.

Born in Pabna, Ryan Sadi migrated to the US for higher education in 1992 after completing his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical College. In the United States, he received advanced degrees in leadership in medical science from Harvard University and health policy and economics from Yale University.
Meanwhile, the name of Ryan Sadi in the nomination list for the Nobel Peace Prize was announced on his Facebook page by Education Minister Dr. Deepu Moni. Dr. Ryan Sadi. Dipu is Moni’s friend. They are classmates of K-40 batch of Dhaka Medical College.

The Nobel Peace Prize has always been a focus of interest. This year also the names of some such individuals, voluntary organizations and organizations have come into discussion. The Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded in Oslo on October 7.
