Noman Sabit: Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal’s long-term committee in the United States has been dissolved and another committee has opened a trade shop. The leaders of the United States Committee of the Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal informed about the decision in the press release sent by the Central Committee last Sunday (May 28). Expatriate leaders of BNP said that due to the disbanding of the said committee, the way of doing business for committees like BNP in the United States and various states has become wider. They said that before this, in the name of forming committees of BNP in the United States and other states, the trade of euphoria Committee was carried out. And as a result of the said committee trade, some leaders of London-based and central BNP have made their pockets heavy.
Central Jubo Dal President Sultan Salauddin Tuku and Acting General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Milton announced the dissolution of the committee of the United States branch of the Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal in a press release sent on May 28. In the same notification, the convening committee of Syedpur District Jubo Dal and 181 full committee of Lalmonirhat District Jubo Dal have also been approved.
Former president of United States Jubo Dal Zakir H Chowdhury and former general secretary Abu Sayed Ahmed have admitted that the decision of Central Jubo Dal leaders has been dissolved because the United States Jubo Dal Committee has been in existence for a long time.
They tried for many days to form a new committee but failed. Last year also a new committee list was prepared and sent to the Center for approval. Zakir H Chowdhury, the former president of United States Jubo Dal, mentioned that it was not possible to form a new committee due to various consensuses.
He said that the term of the current committee has ended long ago. We also wanted a new committee to be formed. The dissolution of the present committee opened the way for the formation of a new committee. We hope that a new committee of the United States Jubo Dal will be formed soon with the advice of the Central Committee after evaluating the tested and dedicated leaders and workers of the United States.
Former general secretary Abu Saeed Ahmad said, two-year committee but we have continued it for 17 years. As the committee was long-term, it was dissolved by the decision of the center. It was our proposal to dissolve the committee and form a new committee. Besides, former general secretary Abu Sayed Ahmed mentioned that there was no internal conflict.
It should be noted that the United States has been managing the Jubo Dal Committee under the leadership of Zakir-Sayed since 2006. Recently, Abu Sayed Ahmed was nominated as the International Affairs Secretary of the Central Jubo Dal (with the rank of Joint-General Secretary) and Elias Khan was nominated as the Co-International Affairs Secretary.
However, a different source claimed that the long-term committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Jubo Dal in the United States was dissolved and another new shop of committee trade was opened. Earlier, in the name of BNP committee formation in other states including the United States, the euphoria committee trade was carried out. And as a result of this committee business, some leaders of London-based and central BNP have made their pockets heavy.
