
Bangla Press Desk: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially appointed batter Litton Das as the captain of the national T20 team through to the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.
In the short term, spinner Mahedi Hasan has been named the vice-captain for Bangladesh’s upcoming T20 series against the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The announcement was made earlier today by Nazmul Abedeen, Chairman of BCB’s Cricket Operations Committee, during a press briefing at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Speaking on Mahedi’s appointment, Nazmul clarified that the vice-captaincy is temporary and specific to the UAE and Pakistan series.
The BCB also announced the full 16-member squad for the upcoming assignments in UAE and Pakistan, featuring a mix of experience and youth.
