
Bangla Press Desk: Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has ordered the relevant authorities to complete all the necessary preparations by December for ensuring law and order across the country during the upcoming general elections.
At least eight lakh security personnel will be deployed for conducting the polls, and the newly recruited 17,000 personnel have to complete training before December, it has been decided.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam announced the decisions at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday night on the progress achieved for holding the next polls.
The Army would serve as a “striking force” to ensure security during the elections, Shafiqul said.
