BNP leader dies of coronavirus infection in Boston

Staff Reporter: Mitosh Barua, sports secretary of New England (Boston) BNP, died after being attacked by a corona virus infection in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He died at the local UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Clinton Hospital, Leominster Campuslast thursday. Five days later his last rites were held at Salem Cemetery on Wednesday in collaboration with Boston expatriates. He was 58 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, one son and numerous relatives.
Mitosh was the second Bangladeshi expatriate in Boston to die of corona. Earlier in Boston, another Bangladeshi expatriate died in Corona. Mitosh Barua was the Sports Secretary of the New England (Boston) Branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. New England (Boston) BNP leaders and workers have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Leaders and activists of social, cultural and political organizations in Boston have also expressed their condolences.
Meanwhile, BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief over the death of New England BNP sports secretary Mitosh Barua. In a condolence message, the BNP secretary general said, “Mitosh Barua was a firm believer in the party’s policies and ideals and the Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy of martyred President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam.” He was a strong organizer and as the sports secretary of the Boston BNP, he worked hard to establish the party on a strong footing. The loss of the Boston BNP in his death is not going to be easily compensated.
In his condolence message, the BNP Secretary General wished peace to the soul of Mitosh Barua and conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, admirers and well-wishers.
