Staff Reporter : Expatriate Bangladeshis have responded to cries of a father living in the United States to save life of his son whose two kidneys have been damaged. But the expatriate Bangladeshis have failed to collect the kidneys. Rafayat Chowdhury (22) has two kidneys damaged and his parents are unable to sleep due to anxiety.
Rafayet’s father Muhammad Chowdhury (Kamal)’s country home is in Satkania district of Chittagong division. He currently resides in Hartford, Connecticut, USA.
Ariful Islam Nipun, general secretary of the Greater Noakhali Association of Connecticut, said Rafayat, son of Muhammad Chowdhury (Kamal), a Connecticut resident, had been suffering from a complex kidney disease for a long time. Doctors said two months ago that both his kidneys had become inoperable. He has to undergo kidney dialysis at home for 8 hours every day. Muhammad Chowdhury (Kamal) has sought help from expatriates in Connecticut through various means but has not been able to collect a kidney so far.
