Staff Reporter, USA: Alhaj Idris Chhabur, a Connecticut expatriate of the United States, has died. He died Monday morning (July 5) at Stamford Hospital, local time. He had been suffering from geriatric disease for a long time. He was 65 years old at the time of his death. He is survived his wife, 1 son, 2 daughters and numerous relatives. Saidul Haque, a Stamford expatriate, confirmed the news of his death.
Alhaj Idris Chhabur of Bakhtiyar Para (Chapatli village) of Anwara Police Station in Chattogram migrated to the United States in 1986 in search of his own fortune. He was in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York, for almost a decade. Than he moved to Stamford, Connecticut for permanent residence, where he lived for a long time.
Saidul Haque, who was very close to the late Idris Chhabur, said that he met Idris Chhabur in 1988 after coming to the United States. Saidul had many educational opportunities to make a living with his help. Idris Chhabur was a very honest and fair person. At one time students were not encouraged to study in Bakhtiyar Para. Since the formation of the Sandhani Sangsad under the direct supervision of Idris Chhabur, everyone has been concentrating on education. Basically, the children of Bakhtiyar Para have been rushing to study since then. He mentioned that the young and old educated people of Bakhtiyar Para will always remember Idris Chhabur.
He also played an important role in the formation of the United States branch of the Bakhtiyar Society in 2019. Although he was ill at the time, his role in the formation of the United States branch of the Bakhtiyar Society was immense. Leaders of the United States branch of the Bakhtiyar Society have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
