Staff Reporter: Attempts are being made to influence the election of Bangladesh Society in New York in a different way. Expatriate Bangladeshis in New York have said that the election of Bangladesh Society will not be fair under the controversial and infamous SM Jamal U Ahmed Jony, the chairman of the Election Commission. As a result of various exclusive decisions of the Election Commission regarding the election, extreme dissatisfaction has arisen among the Bangladesh society and the expatriates. Expatriates reacted angrily to allegations of bias, arbitrariness and irregularities against the Election Commission. Discussions are going on everywhere, including on social media, about the opaque role of the Election Commission.
It has been alleged that Election Commission Chairman SM Jamal U Ahmed Jony is openly working to win over the candidates of his choice. Only the name of preferred candidate on the ballot paper can be included in ‘A’ panel.
Sirajul Islam Sarkar, a former vice-president of Swadhinata Chetona Mancha in the United States and an expatriate from Brooklyn, New York, wrote in his Facebook status that in 1995 I was elected general secretary of Greater Comilla. All the work from the register of the association is in my single hand. I took the association a long way. Everyone in greater Comilla knows this. Suddenly, Jamal Ahmed Jony, an advocate from Daudkandi of the same upazila, went to Sonali Bank and found him. I introduced him from house of Daudkandi. He became a member of the association. I rented an office for the association at that time. He used to come to the office and sit next to me. Then he would not do any work. One year later election of the association came. I introduced him to everyone as a person from the same area. Then he wanted to stay in the Election Commission and started urging me. No one in the organization agrees as a newcomer. Then I persuaded Mujib Bhai, the former president of Bangladesh Society, to keep him in the Election Commission. The election is over. He asked to borrow some money from the nomination money. I said that even if my dead father came, I would not be able to pay this money. Then Sujan sat for money till 2 o’clock at night. Jony was there too. Sujan said she had no food at home and asked for a $3,000 loan. Jony also recommended. I could not pay. Jony then bailed himself out, then I withdrew $300 from my bank account at 4am without touching the association’s money. Jony himself bailed this money. Because they both live in the same building. I still haven’t got that money. Jamal Ahmed Jony will buy a shop at McDonald’s area. He needs $10,000 dollars. He did not contact me and persuaded the president and the treasurer. They also signed the check. But I could not pay in the interest of the organization and the constitution. He has been my enemy ever since. I didn’t know that. The president almost started arguing with me in the meeting. Then the committee dissolved and I left. At that time I had a big project in Comilla. The plan was mine.
We will re-establish the Cooperative Bank of Comilla. There will be Comilla building. There will be 200 apartments for the members, along with a primary and high school, a children’s playground and a graveyard for all the members. Chandpur and B-Baria will have 2 offices. All remittances in Greater Comilla will be transacted from all over the country through cooperative banks. We will quickly deliver the money of every remittance in Greater Comilla to everyone’s bank. There will be 3 retired CSP officers. There will be a constitution, everything will be governed by rules and regulations.
50% of the bank’s profit will be spent on education. Orphans and orphans who cannot read or write due to lack of money for. 20% of money is spent on health sector. For those who can’t afford the treatment and can’t afford the medicine. And there will be 30% money
For general members. I sold 200 shares for 1000 by doing VV on it.
If my plan had been implemented today, each member would have owned crores of rupees and Brihaur Comilla would have gone all out. Lots of jobs and Comilla also had a lot of development. The next step was to purchase the Comilla building in New York. It sucks and eventually sells he embezzled all the money without paying for the shares and bought a car and a house with the money of the association. I worked hard and left 20,000 in the association’s zero fund. There, today at Zero Balance, Jamal Ahmed Jony manages to drag the infamous millionaire Enamul Malik and he licked his money, elected him president and was elected a member of the board of trustees. This infamous Jamal Ahmed in the greater Comilla election.
Through Jony and the late Shah Alam, Kamal was declared the president of Greater Comilla without an election. I was a candidate. After the people of Comilla filed a case, the court mails were stopped by giving money to the infamous Nazir Sinha. Nazir Sinha used to work with our Law Year. We did not realize that the infamous Nazir Sinha would lose so much for the sake of money. Then Kamal Ahmed became president under the leadership of Jamal Ahmed Jony without voting and without election.
Then the funny thing is that today the long time tycoon Jamal Ahmed Jony and Kamal were expelled from Greater Comilla Samity. Then I formed another Daudkandi Society a few months after I formed the Daudkandi Society. After being expelled from greater Comilla formed a dozen organizations in the district. Then Rupshi Chandpur Foundation went to get rid of the cracks. Couldn’t succeed there. Daudkandi then disbanded the organization he formed and formed another organization. Now Daudkandi has 3 organizations.
These are all for the infamous Jamal Ahmed Jony is a manipulator. These are not stories but realities. I do not understand how such a controversial person gets the responsibility of the Chief Election Commission of Bangladesh Society. Controversy over the controversial person who has no place in his own district and upazila organization.
As I know that 2 candidates have died in Bangladesh Society. They are Abdul Khaleq (Khair) Vice President and others Azad Baker Assistant General Secretary. According to their constitution, the rule is to collect nomination papers for 2 posts by notification. It is everyone knows. It is to be free from controversy and to respect the constitution of the true car. Jamal Ahmed Jony personally nominated 2 people yes, it has caused great anger in the minds of the people. Everyone wants to know his statutory rules and regulations? Everyone wants to know under which constitution Jony nominated? It will not work with the constitution of Gauripur Mr. Danab Jamal Ahmed Jony. The vision of all the members of Bangladesh Society attractively, this fraudulent election cannot and will not be a fair election through the Election Commission. I can give a 100% guarantee. This fraudster Jony Rab-Ruhul has also taken the responsibility of the Chief Election Commission with his promise to win the election by negotiating with the council. Already he also got proof. At whose behest is this lawsuit filed? Because litigation is a great way to steal money. To make vouchers the easy way. Making money, on the other hand the ruling party was in power and was. To the man whose past history is so bad how do you believe? Look at his past history. I see a conspiracy planned. Jony to digest all the illegal money Rab Ruhul will win the panel by any means. One of the reasons why Jony would pass them by is loud and artistic he will be the chairman of the Trusty Board in the coming days. Everyone needs to know his strategies, to move forward in his context.
I don’t think Jamal Ahmed Jony has to be fired from the Chief Election Commission.
The current committee is in Jony’s hands, nothing will happen to them so he will have to be fired with the signatures of ordinary members. I’m talking about her again there will be no fair election in the leadership.
The election of Bangladesh Society, the largest social organization in New York, will be held on Sunday, November 14. Two independent candidates, including Nayan-Ali and Rab-Ruhul, are contesting in the upcoming elections. Apart from the two councils, independent candidates Zainul Abedin and Abdul Momen are contesting for the post of president and independent general secretary respectively. A total of 38 candidates are contesting for 19 posts. Of these, 17 are in Nayan-Ali Parishad and 19 in Rab-Ruhul Parishad. Independent General Secretary candidate Abdul Momen has not been seen in public in New York since the nomination papers were submitted. Voting will take place in 5 centers in New York City. Despite fears of fierce competition between the two councils in this election, the Election Commission is desperate to win their nominees in the open bias.
The real name of the presidential candidate of Rab-Ruhul Parishad who took part in the election is Md. Rab Mia. His voter number is 17885 in the voter list of Bangladesh Society. In the last 2015-2017 election of the executive council of The Greater Noakhali Society in the United States, he contested under the name of Md. Rab Mia.
SM Jamal U Ahmed Jony, Chairman, Election Commission, Bangladesh Society, has changed the name of his favorite candidate on the ballot paper to ‘A’ panel by filling in the affidavit form of Election Commission. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Attempts were made to contact Election Commission Chairman SM Jamal U Ahmed Jony and Election Commissioner Mohammad A Hakim Miah several times to find out the matter, but none of them was found.
