Noman Sabit, Back from Philadelphia (PA): Leaders of the Muslim Ummah of North America (Muna) have expressed satisfaction over Sheikh Hasina’s defeat in the quota reform movement in Bangladesh. President of Muna’s National Committee Harun O. Rashid thanked the protesting students for pardoning Sheikh Hasina, who seized power in an undemocratic way. He said that Bangladesh became independent for the second time on August 5. Muna president Harun O. Rashid also greeted the participating students by paying respect to all the martyrs in the movement.

He said these things at the 7th annual conference of the Muslim Ummah of North America (Muna), the largest Muslim diaspora held at the convention center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on Saturday (August 10). The three-day conference, which began on August 9, concluded on August 11 at noon, with the slogan ‘Islam for Peace and Justice for Humanity’. In this year’s annual conference of the Muslim Ummah of North America (Muna), the current situation in Bangladesh came up again and again in the mouth of every Bengali-speaking speaker. About 20,000 devout expatriate Muslims have participated in this conference, Muna officials said.

Rashid also said, with the overall cooperation of Imams and community leaders and with the infinite mercy of Allah, we have been able to implement the Muna Convention on a large scale like in previous years. The three-day long convention has been considered as a commendable initiative to build individuals and society among the American Muslim community including the Bangladeshi community. On behalf of the Muna National Organization, we express our sincere gratitude to you and through you to the entire Bangladeshi community.
He said, Muna is an invitational and social organization in America. Muna was established to attain the pleasure of Allah by making all-out efforts for the personal moral and social upliftment of people. This organization was incorporated in New York State in 1990. Currently, Muna operates in more than 48 US states.

Harun O. Rashid pointed to the Muslims of Gaza and said that the blood of 40 thousand people cannot be wasted. It is the demand of time to forget all our differences and unite. We have to wake up. Muna is not a political organization. We invite Muslims and non-Muslims to read the Quran. Our five-point program is not only for Muslims and believers in Islam, it is aimed at the improvement and progress of the entire human group. Muna follows 100% Quran and Sunnah. Muna sets the main theme of the convention with the belief that the holy book Al-Qur’an and the Sunnah revealed by Rasul (pbuh) should reach every heart, every house, every corner of every society. He requested everyone’s cooperation through Imam and community leaders in this work of Muna.

He also said that Al-Quran guides the entire human race. By visiting the benevolent and correct path to the misguided humanity. From personal life to state life, from the innermost point hidden inside the human body to the vast expanse of human beings, this great book Al-Quran can play a role as an accurate guide for the welfare of the people of the world. Muna distributed about 75,000 Qurans last year and continues to do so. If you want to participate in this work, we will support you.

Imam Delouer Hussain said, in his valuable speech, that the tyrant ruler was defeated in Bangladesh because of the sacrifice of the students. A tyrannical government was quickly overthrown because they stood up against injustice, injustice and indiscretion. He mentioned that a united movement should be built in the light of the Quran to establish justice.

Dr. Abul Kalam Azad Bashar said in his valuable speech, there is no such thing as secularism in the world. No Muslim can ever be secular. The Companions who remember the Holy Prophet will surely be in heaven. If you only have faith, you cannot become a companion if you are with the Prophet (PBUH). It is very difficult to get the status of Sahabah.
