5 Bangladeshi wins as legislators in US election

Noman Sabit: Five candidates of Bangladeshi origin from different states have been re-elected as legislators in the US elections. Private results and local communities confirmed this information.
The winning Bangladeshis are-Georgia State Senator Democrat candidate Sheikh M. Rahman, Senator Nabila Islam from another district of the same state, Connecticut State Senator Masudur Rahman, New Hampshire State Representative Abul Khan and Councilman from New Jersey Plains Borough Township.
Councilman Dr. Nuran Nabi was elected for the fifth term from New Jersey Plains Borough Township. Nuran Nabi has been in this position for 14 consecutive years since 2007. His township has a mayor and 5 councilmen. He is in charge of cultural and heritage affairs as a councilman.

Bangladeshi origin Abul B Khan has been elected as a member of the New Hampshire State Legislature in the US national elections. He was elected six times as a member of the legislature.
In Rockingham District-30, Abul Khan was elected for a two-year term by getting the highest number of votes for the Republican Party. He is one of the 400 New Hampshire state representatives.
Abul Khan said, “I am very impressed. People have elected me with the highest number of votes six times. Although I passed from Republican, I will now serve as a representative of people from all walks of life, from all parties. Our government is always in favor of not raising taxes. For the improvement of education and health. We will work towards that goal.

Apart from this, several Bangladeshi-Americans from Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and other states participated in the elections at the county and other levels. However, their results are not known yet.
