Staff Reporter: The holy Eid-ul-Azha congregation of expatriates has been held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. Tuesday, July 20 at the Islamic Center of Atlantic City on Florida Avenue, the heart of Atlantic City. At this three-storey Islamic center, more than a thousand Muslims perform their prayers with religious solemnity. Hafez Mirza Jonaid Beg Azhari was present as the Imam of Eid-ul-Azha Jamaat.
At the end of the Eid prayers, in a special prayer, in the court of the great God, the whole Muslim world, including the free world, and the happiness and prosperity of the human race have been wished. In excellent weather, the worshipers perform Eid prayers wearing colorful clothes. Greetings before the prayers. Everyone’s cooperation is needed to complete the rest of the work. He argued for the establishment of the Islamic Center of Atlantic City, saying that although there were many mosques in South Jersey, no educational institution was fully developed for Islamic education. So the Islamic Center of Atlantic City was established to educate the next generation in Islamic education and two-thirds of the work has already been completed. He said the rest of the work of the center will be completed in the next two months. He said that besides the educational institutions, arrangements have also been made for mosques and Islamic community centers for the convenience of the students of the Islamic Center. In addition to the Islamic Center of Atlantic City, two other congregations have been held at the initiative of Masjid Taqwa and Masjid Al-Hara.
After the Eid prayers, the expatriates went to various slaughtering centers in Trenton, Philadelphia City for animal sacrifices. However, as a precautionary measure, most Bangladeshis are reported to have ordered sacrifices at local Brighton and Desibazar grocery stores.
