Noman Ibne Sabit: The new committee of the Metro Washington Awami League will be formed in accordance with the constitution, not under the leadership of the so-called council or the United States Awami League, but directly under the direction of the Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina. If anyone tries to split the party in the name of council unconstitutionally, the local Awami League leaders will resist. The announcement was made by Awami League leaders at an emergency meeting of the Metro Washington Awami League held at Nirala Restaurant in Virginia on Wednesday (June 1) local time.
The meeting was chaired by the party’s current president Sadeq M Khan and performance by joint general secretary Kamal Hossain.
Speakers at the meeting said that United Metro Washington Awami League is trying to divide the party by showing the as an illegitimate and unconstitutional member of the council United States Awami League president Dr. Siddiqur Rahman to refrain from it, has been called by the leaders of Metro Washington Awami League.
The speakers further said that Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has been directly supervising the Metro Washington Awami League for a long time. Only on his instructions and on the advice of Sajib Wazed Joy, the prime minister’s adviser on information and technology, will the new Metro Washington Awami League committee be formed in accordance with the constitution.
The meeting was attended by Adviser Bir Muktijoddha Harun Chowdhury, Senior Vice President Shibbir Ahmed, Vice President Jewel Barua, Nurul Amin Nuru, Anwar Hossain, Mojibur Rahman, Akhtar Hossain, Organizing Secretary Monir Patwari, Office Secretary Narayan Debnath, Sports Secretary Abul Azad, Members Sherina Chowdhury, Dev Sharma, Hasnat Sunny, Abu Sarkar, Swechchhasebak League President Abul Sikder and Vice President Sirajul Haque. Also on the phone were vice-president GI Russell, Jibak Barua and freedom fighter affairs secretary Abdul Gafur.

Recently, two powerful presidium members of the A-League were stationed in the US capital. Although the United States Awami League leaders were present, he did not come and was not there. The Washington Metro Awami League is signed and approved by the United States Awami League, not by anyone else. There is nothing controversial here. The United States Awami League has the right to convene a council at any time suitable for the party.
