Noman Sabit: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave London for New York after attending the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in London on September 19. She will arrive at New York’s JFK Airport in the afternoon on the same day to attend the 77th General Session of the United Nations. United States Awami League leaders and workers will give a warm welcome to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the airport. The prime minister was earlier scheduled to arrive in New York on September 18, but her arrival in New York was pushed back by a day due to Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral. According to related sources, the prime minister will have a busy time when she arrives in New York on September 19.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in London on September 19. Hasina is scheduled to leave Dhaka for London on September 15. She will leave London for New York after the funeral.
This time, during the 77th General Session of the United Nations, the Prime Minister will speak on behalf of Bangladesh in the general debate session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 23. Like every other time, the Prime Minister will give a speech in Bengali.
The Prime Minister will present her views on a durable solution to the Ukraine-Russia war. Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will emphasize on fair distribution of vaccines and vaccines, proper solution of Rohingya crisis, safe migration, establishment of climate justice.
Due to covid-19, no side event will be held inside the UN Headquarters this time. However, Bangladesh will host two separate side events on the Rohingya issue and sustainable housing. A high-level side event on Rohingya will be held on 22 September. The Prime Minister will participate in the said side event.
The Bangladesh delegation led by the Prime Minister will arrive in New York on September 20 to attend the 77th General Session of the United Nations. The Minister of Foreign, Minister of Education, Minister of Health and Family Welfare and State Minister of Foreign will accompany the Prime Minister.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend high-level discussions on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 22, besides other sessions of the United Nations General Assembly. On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session on September 21 will be another program on sustainable housing.
Bangladesh will actively participate in all UN General Assembly events. The theme of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly is ‘A Tearful Moment: Transformative Solutions to Interlocking Challenges’.
The Prime Minister will visit the UK from September 15 to 19 before visiting New York. After his visit to New York, She will stay in Washington DC from September 25 to October 1. Sheikh Hasina will return home after Washington DC visit.
Meanwhile, the United States Awami League will hold a peace rally in front of the United Nations on September 23. also hosted a virtual civic reception at Astoria World Manor on September 24 at 12 p.m.
On the other hand, some of the controversial workers of the United States Awami League are spreading various confusions around the virtual civic reception. On the same day and at the same time, they are promoting themselves on Facebook by creating similar posters of the Prime Minister’s virtual civic reception. President of the United States Awami League Dr. Siddiqur Rahman and Acting General Secretary Abdus Samad Azad called on everyone to be careful of this false propaganda.
