With a story written by eminent novelist Rebeya Khatun, Ekushey Padak-winning veteran actor-playwright-director Abul Hayat has scripted and directed an Eid-special tele-drama titled ‘Amritakkhar’. Along with the audience-admired artistes Irfan Sazzad and Mehazabien Chowdhury in central roles, Shirin Alam and Abul Hayat have also acted in the tele-drama.

The shooting of the tele-drama has already been completed recently at a shooting house in Uttara of the capital. Irfan and Mehazabien have portrayed the roles of Zafar and Julekha in the story set in the ‘80s and ’90.

Abul Hayat said, “Every Eid, I produce a tele-drama with a story of Rabeya Khatun, and keeping up with this trend, I have made this tele-drama. Irfan has earlier worked under my direction and he acts very well.”

“This is the first time Mehazabien has acted under my direction. Earlier we acted together in several projects and I found out her to be a talented actress. The main thing is that she can act very natural. Overall, both the artistes have made this project successful with their acting,” he added while commenting about Mehazabien.

Irfan said, “This is my third venture in Abul Hayat’s direction. He narrates the story of the tele-dramas so well that the acting gets easier. When Mehazabien is my co-artiste, I feel very comfortable in my position of acting. I also believe the output of the work likely to be outstanding.”

Mehazabien said, “I really liked the story which is set against the backdrop of ‘80s and ‘90s. I have acted under Abul Hayat’s unique direction for the first time. I always found Irfan Sazzad as a helpful co-artiste. Overall, we have done a well-ordered work.”

The tele-drama ‘Amritakkhar’ will be telecast on Channel i during the upcoming Eid. l
