US-expatriate Parbatipur residents mourn death of Muktijoddha Aminul

Bir Muktijoddha Aminul Islam Sarkar

Staff Reporter: Residents of Parbatipur in Dinajpur have expressed grief over the death of Bir Muktijoddha Aminul Islam Sarkar, a prominent real estate businessman and senior vice-president of the Central Awami Muktijoddhi League. He died of gallstones in Dhaka’s Square Hospital around 1.30pm on Saturday (April 24) after receiving negative results after undergoing corona treatment.

It may be mentioned that the heroic freedom fighter Aminul Islam came to the United States on a private visit in the first week of August 2017. He visited his son’s home in the state of Arizona and came to New York for only two days. At this time the leaders of the local Parbatipur Samity immediately gave him a reception.
The late Aminul Islam Sarkar is the younger brother of former chairman of Parbatipur Municipal Chairman Abdul Wahab Sarkar and uncle of Amjad Hossain, joint general secretary of Parbatipur Upazila Awami League and president of Youngster Club. They prayed for peace of soul of the late heroic freedom fighter Aminul Islam Sarkar from all over the country and abroad.
