12 Firefighting Units Battle Blaze at Ashulia Garment Factory

Bangla Press Desk:  The Fire Service has deployed 12 units to contain a major fire that erupted at a garments factory in the Ashulia industrial area on Sunday.

At least nine people have been injured by the blazes and the casualties are expected to rise, officials said.The fire erupted at FNS factory of Preeti Group at Jamgara area of Ashulia around 7:50pm after gas cylinders exploded at the site, said Somen Barua, warehouse inspector at the Ashulia DEPZ Fire Service.

Initially four units of the fire service joined the operation, and more units got stranded in traffic at the Baipail intersection, he added.
