12 Sentenced to Life in Prison in Kushtia Murder Case

Bangla Press Desk:  A court has sentenced 12 people to life imprisonment for the murder of a man named Saheb Ali in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. Each convict has also been fined Tk 20,000, with an additional year of rigorous imprisonment in default of payment. Additional District and Sessions Judge-2 Nadira Sultana delivered the verdict on Tuesday (October 13) afternoon in the presence of the accused.

Advocate Hafizul Islam Monir, counsel for the prosecution, confirmed the matter. The 12 people sentenced to life imprisonment are Mozammel Hossain, 73, son of late Tozammel; Ayen Uddin, 68, and Akhtar Hossain, 43, sons of late Samed Ali; Sabu, 41, and Abu, 37, sons of Ayen Uddin; Selim, 41, and Sohag, 38, sons of Afsar Sheikh; Shariful Islam, 43, son of late Aziruddin; Bipul, 34, son of Mojibor Rahman; Badr Uddin, 68, son of Sabar Uddin; Afsar Sheikh, 65, son of Asadul
