Bangla Press Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) personnel from Mohammadpur Police Station have arrested 14 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities during a special drive conducted across different crime-prone areas of the capital’s Mohammadpur on Monday.
According to sources at Mohammadpur Police Station, the special operation was carried out throughout the day on 6 October 2025. During the raids, police detained the suspects from multiple locations under the station’s jurisdiction.
The arrestees were identified as Khushi alias Khuki (30), Amit (25), Sagar (30), Ismail Hossain Malek (40), Mohammad Ali (32), Awal Bepari (42), Mishal (18), Faisal (18), Raihan (22), Imran (26), Mamun (25), Rabbi (25), Naim Molla (23) and Manzil Sharif Apu (23).
During the operation, law enforcers recovered four auto-rickshaw batteries, 100 packets of heroin, 30 grams of cannabis, and 18 yaba tablets from their possession. Police said the seized items were linked to theft and drug peddling cases in the area.
Mohammadpur police sources further informed that several of the detainees are listed offenders in regular cases and have a history of involvement in different criminal offences, including drug trafficking and theft.
The arrested individuals have been sent to court for legal proceedings, the police confirmed.
