Bangla Press Desk: Yemen’s internationally recognized government has claimed to have carried out over 2,750 targeted attacks in the country within the last 24 hours. They reported that more than 1,400 Iran-backed Houthi fighters were killed or wounded in these strikes. The attacks were part of an ongoing military operation aimed at recapturing territory held by the Houthis.
Colonel Majid Al-Nujaili, spokesperson for the country's armed forces, disclosed this information in a statement published by Yemen's state news agency, Saba.
He stated that key military installations deep within Houthi-controlled territory were also targeted as part of the operation, dubbed "Dawn of Yemen."
Al-Nujaili added that ground forces had breached Houthi defensive lines to retake strategic positions and have successfully consolidated their gains. The operation is proceeding according to the established military plan.
The Yemeni government announced the launch of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation last Sunday. The objective of the campaign is to reclaim territory currently held by the Iran-backed Houthis.
However, the report did not cite any independently verified information to substantiate the government's claims regarding the attacks or the casualties among Houthi fighters. Source: Al Jazeera
