Bangla Press Desk: A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck the border between Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, early Tuesday, according to Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (ESMC).
The tremor occurred at 04:36am and was centered approximately 16km northwest of Satkhira, Bangladesh, and 36km east of Habra, India. The area is near a complex junction of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.
There have been no immediate reports of structural damage or casualties.
In recent months, minor to moderate tremors have been felt in different parts of the country, raising concerns among geological experts.
