66.64pc pass HSC, equivalent exams this year

Banglapress Online: A total of 66.64 per cent students passed this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations across the country while average pass rate in last year was 68.91 per cent. The number of GPA 5 achievers is 29,262 while the number of students having achieved the highest grade was 37,969 in the previous year. Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday morning handed over the results of Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations-2018 to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence. The education minister will formally announce the results at a press briefing at his office around 1:00pm. Examinees will get their results from respective examination centres or educational institutions, websites of respective centres and through internet and mobile phones. To get the results, students can also log on to the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd. A total 12,87,757 students participated in this year’s HSC and its equivalent examinations which were held from April 2 to May 23.
