7 college students lift blockades, to resume demos Monday

Bangla Press Desk:   Students of seven Dhaka-based public colleges lifted road blockades at two crucial points in the capital around Thursday evening, after causing huge public sufferings for nearly five hours.

They would resume the blockade programme for the third day on Monday to pressure the government into issuing an ordinance on building a dedicated “Dhaka Central University,” the students announced before dispersing from the Science Lab area.

Earlier, around 12pm, they enforced blockade at the Science Lab Intersection and Technical Intersection for the second consecutive day.
