AAAB signs MoU with Aleph for Digital Growth
Bangla Press Desk: The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aleph- the authorized commercial partner of global digital platforms including Google and TikTok in Bangladesh- to establish a strategic partnership focused on strengthening the country’s digital advertising ecosystem through structured training, ethical standards, leadership development, and global exposure for local agencies. The MoU signing took place in Dhaka in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.
Representing AAAB were Sanaul Arefeen (President), Syed Ahsanul Apon (General Secretary), and M A Maruf (Joint Secretary). Aleph was represented by Ehsanul Hoque (Country Director, Aleph Group Inc. for Bangladesh & Sri Lanka) and Ahsanur Rahman (Partner Director, Aleph Group Inc. for Bangladesh & Sri Lanka).
The partnership brings together AAAB, the country’s apex body for advertising agencies, and Aleph, with the objective of professionalizing and standardizing digital advertising practices while enhancing industry skills, ethics, and data transparency. The collaboration also aligns with national priorities related to digital transformation, employment generation, and export growth.
Under a structured framework titled Enablement, Enhance, Expand (3E), the partnership will roll out initiatives including free global digital advertising certification for junior professionals and fresh graduates from AAAB member agencies, joint workshops and training programs at Aleph’s Dhaka facility designated as a Preferred AAAB Learning Hub, leadership masterclasses for agency owners and senior leaders, and the co-publication of a bi-annual State of Digital Advertising in Bangladesh report. The partnership will also promote a Digital Advertising Code of Conduct covering brand safety, ad transparency, and platform compliance, while enabling selected Bangladeshi campaigns to be featured in Aleph’s global case studies, subject to consent.
Both organizations expressed confidence that the partnership will contribute to building a more skilled, ethical, and globally competitive advertising industry in Bangladesh.
