Bangla Press Desk: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against former lawmaker from the Narayanganj-4 constituency, Shamim Osman, and his wife, Salma Osman, on charges of amassing undeclared wealth.
The commission has also ordered their son and daughter to submit their statements of assets.
ACC Director General (Prevention) Akhtar Hossain disclosed the development while speaking to reporters at the commission’s headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday.
In the first case, Shamim Osman has been accused of abusing his power to acquire undeclared assets worth Tk6.68 crore. He has also been charged with making unusual transactions totalling Tk439.82 crore through nine bank accounts.
