Bangla Press Desk: Recently, an image of actress Janhvi Kapoor was manipulated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to place her in a romantic song sequence—a clip that subsequently went viral on social media. Now, *Drishyam* actress Shriya Saran has voiced her outrage over similar incidents.
Stars from the glamour world are increasingly falling victim to "deepfakes," where their images and videos are being used indiscriminately in sexually explicit content, thereby tarnishing their reputations.
In a recent interview, Shriya revealed that multiple manipulated images of her have also been created using AI. The actress noted that women are the primary targets of such obscene acts, leading to distasteful online discussions regarding various parts of women's bodies.
Shriya remarked, "Sometimes the whole thing seems ridiculous. Often, I can't even tell if the image is actually of me or not. Body parts are being distorted—sometimes the breast size is altered, sometimes the lingerie in the photo disappears, and at other times, the buttocks are enlarged. It is best to take these things lightly rather than attaching too much importance to them. However, I must admit that it is extremely annoying."
She added, "Just as AI has many positive aspects and benefits, the technology also possesses the power to transform many things. This can lead to dangerous situations! I believe this applies to any technology; over time, we must either adapt to it or learn to deal with it."
