Bangla Press Desk: The AFC Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has imposed a fine of USD 1,500 on the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for breaching competition regulations during the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers Final Round match against Singapore on 10 June 2025.
According to the Committee’s findings, BFF representatives were responsible for delaying the start of the second half of the match by at least two minutes, in violation of Article 2.2 of the AFC Competition Operations Manual.
The fine must be settled within 30 days of notification of the decision, as stipulated under Article 11.3 of the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code. The Committee has also warned that any repeat offence could result in harsher penalties. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
