All flights on the Dhaka-Riyadh route suspended until October 17.
Bangla Press Desk: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights on the Dhaka-Riyadh route until October 17 due to the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The airline announced this in a press release on Monday (October 12).
The statement noted that, given the closure of King Khalid International Airport, all flights from Dhaka to Riyadh have been suspended until October 17 (Bangladesh time).
Biman authorities stated that further decisions and new schedules regarding the suspended flights would be announced in due course.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines sincerely apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to passengers by the flight suspensions and requested their patience and cooperation during this situation.
Operations at King Khalid International Airport have come to a halt following repeated attacks by the Houthis, effectively stopping the travel of Bangladeshi expatriates and other passengers to the country. No flights have departed from Dhaka for Riyadh airport since last Saturday. Air connectivity between Dhaka and Dammam is also currently suspended.
