Bangla Press Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Tuesday morning hosted a courtesy breakfast meeting with Argentine Ambassador Marcelo Carlos Sessa at his office in Bashundhara, Dhaka.
The meeting began with the Ambassador inquiring about Dr Shafiqur Rahman’s health, and expressing his well wishes for a speedy recovery. The atmosphere throughout the meeting was “cordial and warm,” says a press release issued by Jamaat-e-Islami.
The two leaders engaged in discussions on a range of important topics, including the current situation in Bangladesh, as well as the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Argentina. They also touched upon areas of potential cooperation such as investment, international relations, and other issues of shared interest.
Ambassador Sessa reaffirmed Argentina’s unwavering support for Bangladesh, emphasizing his country’s commitment to strengthening the partnership between the two nations. Both parties expressed optimism about the future of Bangladesh-Argentina relations, particularly in terms of economic cooperation, development, and progress.
