Auto driver dies after being hit by private car in Khilgaon
Hazaribagh (Dhaka) Correspondent: An autorickshaw driver named Md. Shaheen (48) was killed after being hit by a speeding private car in the capital's Khilgaon's Meradia area. The road accident occurred at around 12:15 am on Monday.
Eyewitnesses and police sources said that Shaheen was driving an autorickshaw on the main road opposite Safia Car Center in Meradia. At that time, a speeding private car coming from behind hit the autorickshaw hard. He was seriously injured and died on the spot.
Khilgaon Police Station SI Anoy Chandra Pal confirmed the matter on Tuesday morning and said that autorickshaw driver Md. Shaheen died on the spot after being hit by a Meradia private car at around 12:15 am on Monday. After completing the legal process, the body of the deceased has been sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. The private car has been seized in this incident and its driver is in police custody.
The deceased Md. Shahin is the son of Md. Alauddin Mia of Satak village in Lakhai upazila of Habiganj district. He had been living with his family in a rented house in the capital's Meradia Purabari area for a long time. Source: Jugantor
