Bangla Press Desk: After a two-year wait since their historic gold in the 2022 South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship in the Maldives, the Bangladesh national youth table tennis team is once again chasing top honors—this time in Nepal. The Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTTF) is optimistic about a golden outcome at the upcoming edition of the same tournament.
Speaking at a “Meet the Press” event held on Sunday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium, BTTTF General Secretary Captain AM Maksud Ahmed (Sonnet) expressed high hopes for the team’s performance.
The federation announced that an 18-member contingent will travel to Nepal. The squad includes three boys and three girls each in the U-19 and U-15 categories, along with one additional player in each category as a backup—whose expenses will be fully covered by the federation.
Of the 16 players, 11 are from BKSP Dhaka, 3 from BKSP Khulna, 1 from the Bangladesh Army, and 1 from Rajshahi District Sports Association.
