Bangladesh to make debut in FIFAe WC qualifiers
Bangla Press Desk:  For the first time, Bangladesh is set to participate in the FIFAe World Cup qualifiers. The nation will compete in both console and mobile categories in this prestigious virtual tournament endorsed by the world’s football governing body, FIFA. The first phase of the e-football competition, known as the Challenger Series, has already begun with the support of FIFA. Following this, national nominations will take place, where the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will select two players for the console category and one player for the mobile category.
The regional qualifiers for the console division will be held from 17 to 28 September, while the mobile division qualifiers are scheduled from 2 to 12 October. Bangladesh will compete in the East Asia and Oceania region, from which three teams in the console category and four teams in the mobile category will advance to the main tournament. A total of 11 teams from six regions across both categories will secure spots in the World Cup, alongside the host nation Saudi Arabia. The grand event will kick off in Riyadh on 10 December and conclude on 13 December.  This article was originally published on Daily Sun. [Bangla Press is a global platform for free thought.
