Bangla Press Desk: Barcelona are moving closer to signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, with negotiations entering the final stages, according to The Athletic.
The Catalan club have tabled a proposal via intermediaries to take Rashford on a season-long loan with an option to buy. United have agreed in principle to the structure of the deal, though it is yet to be finalised.
Barcelona, under new head coach Hansi Flick, have been searching for a versatile attacker who can operate both on the wing and through the middle. The left-wing position was flagged as a priority after the squad struggled for depth in that area towards the end of last season. Flick has reportedly spoken to the 27-year-old England international and approved the move.
Taking Rashford on loan would also ease Barcelona’s ongoing financial strain, with a permanent transfer currently considered unfeasible.
