Bangla Press Desk: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is aiming to strengthen cricket development through structured coaching in the services and education sectors, said Game Development Coordinator Habibul Bashar Sumon.
Speaking to reporters about BCB’s three-day Level-A coaching workshop in Mirpur on Saturday, Sumon said, “We’ve named this Level-A course for ‘Services and Partners’. Services refers to teams like the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and Ansar, while ‘Partners’ include institutions such as public universities, BKSP, and others. We see them all as partners in this initiative.”
Sumon emphasized that developing cricket goes beyond just playing.
“To spread cricket, it is not enough to just play cricket. Cricket education is also very important. So those who come here actually work at the root level. If we can educate them a little, if we can upgrade them a little, it will be useful for the Bangladesh cricketers by the end of the day. That's our effort. It's just started. Hopefully, it will get even bigger in the future,” he concluded.
