Bangla Press Desk: Mahbub Anam, chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) grounds committee, visited the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday afternoon to inspect the facilities following recent criticism of the pitch.
During his visit, Mahbub Anam held discussions with veteran pitch curator Gamini de Silva, who has served at the venue for over a decade. On the same day, Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed was also seen engaging with Mahbub after completing his bowling drills and gym session.
The visit comes in the wake of BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul’s public dissatisfaction with the quality of the pitch during the recently concluded T20I series against Pakistan. His remarks sparked speculation over a possible transfer of Gamini outside Dhaka.
