Bogura-6: Tarique Rahman’s nomination declared valid
Bangla Press Desk: The nomination paper of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been declared valid for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The decision was announced on Saturday (January 3) around 10:20am following scrutiny of nomination papers by Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Md Toufiqul Rahman.
Md Toufiqul Rahman said that no irregularities were found during the verification process of Tarique Rahman’s nomination paper, and it was therefore declared valid.
Earlier on Monday (December 29) at around 2:20pm, the nomination paper on behalf of Tarique Rahman was submitted to the Bogura District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqul Rahman by district BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, who is also the election coordinator for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) seat.
Meanwhile, the nomination paper of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Sohel for the same constituency has also been declared valid.
