Cautionary Signal 3 Issued for Bangladesh’s Maritime Ports
Bangla Press Desk: The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep local cautionary signal No. 3 hoisted as a well-marked low over the Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas intensified into a monsoon depression.
The depression now lies over the southwestern part of the Bangladesh-West Bengal coast and adjoining Northwest Bay, according to a Met Office bulletin issued on Monday morning, reports UNB.
It is likely to move further northwestwards, the bulletin said.
Under its influence, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
All fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
