Chief adviser expresses concern over Korail Slum fire
Bangla Press Desk: Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep concern and sympathy following the devastating fire at Dhaka’s Korail slum, which burned down hundreds of homes and left many families displaced.
In a message issued on Tuesday night (25 Nov), the chief adviser conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the affected families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the incident.
“The suffering of the families who have lost their homes in the Korail slum fire is a matter of grief for the entire nation,” Yunus said in his statement.
He assured that the government would provide all necessary assistance for the rehabilitation of those affected.
He added that the concerned authorities have been instructed to intensify rescue and relief operations immediately.
Additionally, directives have been given to investigate the cause of the fire and take effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future, the message read.
