'Cockroach Party' calls for nationwide protests in India.

Bangla Press Desk: India's capital is in turmoil over demands for the resignation of an Election Commissioner. Despite police obstruction and mass arrests, the protesters refuse to back down. Upon their release from custody, they declared that the movement would not cease; instead, it would spread across the entire country.
The unrest began with allegations of irregularities in the voter list. The 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP) had called for a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar to demand the resignation of India's Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar.
However, the police adopted a stern stance right at the start of the protest on Saturday. Between 3,000 and 7,000 protesters were detained. To manage the situation, 45 metro stations were closed, and 250 trains were cancelled. Delhi Police even detained three key leaders—Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Sourav Das—after they had boarded a flight.
On Sunday morning (October 11), the court granted them conditional release. The court stipulated that they must not disturb the peace or public order for the next year. Yet, immediately after leaving jail, CJP chief Abhijit Dipke stated that they had not signed any undertaking that would prevent them from protesting. He asserted, "Peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every citizen. There is no question of us suspending our movement."
Leaders of the organization have compared the government's actions to the 'Emergency' period of 1975 in India. They allege that the police are intimidating young people and threatening their families.
Meanwhile, the ruling BJP government has dismissed the protests as a political conspiracy. They claim that attempts are being made to incite anarchy in the country at the behest of the opposition. Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that while everyone has the right to protest in a democracy, this right cannot be used to create chaos in the country.
Despite the government's stern warnings, the protesters remain unwilling to leave the streets. Their stance is clear: the struggle will continue until their demands are met. Source: NDTV
