Court Defers Probe Report in BUET Student Sunny Murder Case Once More
Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Monday set 6 September for the submission of the probe report in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Tariquzzaman Sunny.
Dhaka Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman fixed the new date as the investigating officer, Sub-Inspector Mashiar Rahman of Kutubpur Naval Police Outpost, failed to submit the report on the scheduled date.
This marks the 42nd deferment of the submission of the probe report, said Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Munia Akter of the Prosecution Department.
According to the case statement, Sunny went missing on 14 July 2022 while visiting Moinot Ghat in Dohar, Dhaka, with 15 friends.
His body was recovered from the Moinot Ghat area on 15 July.
Sunny's elder brother, Hasanuzzaman, filed a murder case with Dohar Police Station the following day, accusing the 15 friends who had accompanied him during the trip.
