Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Tuesday imposed a travel ban on former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Sheikh Nazmul Alam over graft charges.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
According to the petition, an investigation is underway against him over allegations of corruption and amassing illegal assets.
The ACC sought a travel ban to prevent obstruction of the probe and considering the risk of his departure from the country.Source: daily Sun
