Cyber attack disables Zulkarnain Saer’s Facebook account

Bangla Press Desk: The verified Facebook account of Al Jazeera journalist Zulkarnain Saer has been disabled following a suspected cyber attack.

On Tuesday afternoon, the account, which has around 1.2 million followers, suddenly became inaccessible. The perpetrators behind the attack have not yet been identified.

Zulkarnain Saer told journalists that a similar incident had occurred previously, when a cyber group disabled his account. After six hours of effort, he was able to restore it.

He said attempts are currently underway to reactivate the account.
