Death Threat Sent to NCP Leader Joynal Abedin Sisir on WhatsApp

Bangla Press Desk: Joynal Abedin Sisir, the joint member secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has filed a General Diary (GD) with the police after receiving a death threat on WhatsApp.

The leader shared the incident on his verified Facebook profile on Monday evening. He reported that an unidentified individual sent a message threatening to shoot him before the upcoming election.According to the message shared by Sisir, the harasser wrote: "You will be shot before the election; no one on this earth can save you. Your body will lie on the road, remember that."

The GD states that the incident occurred after 4:00 pm on Monday. A person identifying himself as Hossain Zahid allegedly made several calls and sent messages via WhatsApp while concealing his true identity. The caller repeatedly threatened to kill him, causing significant security concerns.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter following the filing of the GD.
